November Intentions
There will be stars, and glitter, and inexplicably a lot of forest green.
Someone (me) is very excited about the holiday season and anxious to share all of my plans, dreams, and lists with you. But first, let’s give October a proper curtain call! Here was my vision for spooky season:
🎃 October Recap
After an angsty September, I relaxed into a new month, making an effort to be present and appreciate the little things.
My word of focus was “whimsy,” and I resurfaced Bedknobs and Broomsticks as my go-to Halloween movie. It was a perfect way to keep myself from taking things too seriously. Try listening to (or watching) Substitutiary Locomotion without giggling!
I listened to a lot of great music in October! On the record player: Bing Crosby and Harry James. In my AirPods: Life of a Showgirl, the Just in Time soundtrack, and a new favorite/recommendation from my sis-in-law, Olivia Dean (she sounds a lot like Adele!)
I also let my artsy side run free, including experimenting with watercolor pencils.
The weather was 10/10, which meant lots of time outdoors, including some lovely neighborhood walks.
Though I didn’t put pen to paper, new story ideas were sparking left and right.
I started the process of a pen pal project I’ve been wanting to start with my nieces and nephews. More on that below!
