The Art of Accepting Feedback
I shared my full manuscript with seven people. Here’s what happened.
It wasn’t even October yet, when I chose to do something very scary — let a group of people read my entire book-in-progress.
Sharing my manuscript was definitely not something I wanted to do. Nobody wants to hear what you did “wrong” after you’ve poured your heart and soul into a project. I am still haunted by art class critiques from college! Nevertheless, I shared my book anyway.
Did I stall and try to get out of it? Yes!
Did I act like a typical millennial snowflake? You bet!
Did I learn some things? Of course I did.
