Thanks so much for reading along, Kara! I'll be back so soon and I'm going to have to call ahead to that maman near Grand Central because I plan on clearing out their cookie trays.

There are a few around the city -- might as well hit 'em all up!!

Oh my goodness, this was sooooo fun to follow along as your shadow on your NYC artist date. Definitely trademark this movie title. 🔥

Your sketch was so beautiful…thank you for sharing it. I’m amazed at all you explored. And I love that you got to see two Broadway shows (and your second with the fam). 🥰

Felt like I was on that train from Westchester along with you. 😉

So glad you enjoyed the recap! I love that we’ve walked so many of the same streets (and ridden the same trains) and hope that one day we’ll have an overlap in our home city! ❤️

Love this SO much!

My solo in the city itinerary changes each time, but only slightly. My last trip was a few nights and my husband had work each day and I soaked up every second (and amazing food!) on my own. Riding uptown to the UWS for book shopping at Westsider, browsing Zabar’s, sitting in the park, grabbing Levain cookies, and a slice to go from around the corner. Wandering the Met, the Morgan Library, grabbing tacos and boba, and then quiet writing at the Drama Book Shop and later Bryant Park and the Rose Reading Room. It’s a never-ending buffet of inspiration!

Love that you popped into Albertine — the second floor is so, so magical to me. I hope you went upstairs!!

Ohhhh Kristine you are naming so many things that I have on my list but have never done! Especially: visiting the Morgan Library, Drama Book Shop, and the Rose Reading Room. I've also never had a Levain cookie (how?!). Re: the Albertine 🙈 I did NOT go upstairs! I was so intimidated by all the French speakers and worried that I wasn't leaving enough time for dinner + getting to the show that I was in and out of there.

I guess I'll have to go back for another UWS day? 🤷🏻‍♀️🥰 I hope you'll get another trip again soon too!

Definitely hit the second floor next time, if you can!! I stumbled upon Albertine one day, spontaneously, and felt like I was in Paris. It's actually in my first novel! As is the Met!
