Love how ambitious your reading list is. Why ever not, right? I'm so inspired by your research trip, too...and in awe that you tried the lobster roll. I'm not sure I could, although I am now quite delighted to find out that I am not the only person on the planet who does not have a taste for it.
Thanks, Maria! If it doesn't give away too much about your plot, what would be the ideal destination for your research trip?
Ah! Glad that I'm not the only one who can't get into lobster. I keep trying. But after this most recent experience I'm content to just appreciate the lobster/nautical aesthetic and leave the eating to everyone else.
Yes, I kept trying for a while and finally put it to rest. I’m not crazy about a lot of seafood though, and I’ve always wondered if there is a scientific explanation for it. Genetic coding or something like that?
I hope you enjoy Just for the Summer! I read it recently, absolutely loved it, and immediately bought a physical copy. Another book I am super looking forward to reading (and should arrive today, a day early!) is Katherine Center's new book, The Rom-Commers.
Me too! It seems like the book everyone is raving about. It'll be my first Abby book! I started another at the beginning of the pandemic and couldn't quite get into it but I'm chalking it up to reading it during a weird time. Can't wait to hear what you think about The Rom-Commers! Katherine Center is another author I'm always hearing about -- I need to read one of hers as well. Maybe in the Fall after I finish enjoying these stacks. :)
You are too kind, Michelle! I hope you enjoy One Night on the Island as much as I did ◡̈
Almost finished and it has been a delight!

London!🥰🇬🇧
London?! My favorite city! Consider me fully invested in your story. Also, this research trip needs to happen!
🥰 Thank you so much, Michelle! Your words are such a boost. Need to book it, but I am aiming for the fall 🤞
