New York is at the top of my travel bucket list so I really enjoyed seeing your day in NYC pictures!
I wasn't sure if I would have a book for September, but I have recently gotten into reading some romantic suspense and early in the month, I read One Wrong Move by Dani Pettrey. It is set around a string of art museum heists and the main characters are a security expert and an insurance investigator who are part of the investigation into the break-ins. I love a good cheesy rom-com story, but I have also really enjoyed the added action and mystery in a romantic suspense.
Just added Chasing Beauty to my TBR list. Thanks for the rec! We spent many years in Cambridge and actually have an interesting, centuries-old family connection related to the ISG Museum. It's a beautiful space to spend an afternoon. Also, agreed on The Perfect Couple!
That must have been lovely! From the few times I've been to Cambridge, it seems like a place where I'd love to live. Tell me more about this family connection to the museum! I'm so intrigued! I have yet to visit, but now that I'm engrossed in this story it will need to be a mandatory stop the next time we're in New England!
I loved Cambridge.❤️ As for the ISG Museum, there are two portraits hanging in the Dutch Room painted by Hans Holbein the Younger; the subjects are Sir and Lady Butts. William Butts was personal physician to Henry VIII and an ancestor through my mother's line. Not the easiest name to grow up with, as one might imagine, but some serious Tudor history bragging rights.😆
This is incredible! I love family history, and how cool that you are able to trace your lineage back so far. I will prioritize stopping to say hello to Sir and Lady Butts whenever I make it to the museum! 😊

And I am excited about the gift card! Thanks!
I'm excited for you to visit New York one day and can't wait to hear what you think!
I love that you are pushing the boundaries of your go-to genre (I am currently doing the same), and One Wrong Move sounds like a fun premise.
I was so happy when I drew your name! Enjoy and happy reading!
Thanks for the reminder to read Veridian! I've had it on my Kindle for a while now.
Ohhh! Let me know what you think! 🔍
